Objectives
The implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement implies comprehensive Europeanisation of Ukrainian political, economic and legal systems in the short term perspective. Jean Monnet Module’s objective is to promote EU interdisciplinary and Europeanisation studies in Ukraine. It builds on achievements of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, Jean Monnet Chair and the Graduate School at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (NaUKMA). Jean Monnet Module is relevant for experts and students who do not automatically come into contact with EU studies but are interested in applying EU interdisciplinary and Europeanisation studies methodology and knowledge in their research. Jean Monnet Module is the first on line and interdisciplinary course which introduces Ukrainian experts and students to contemporary methodology on EU interdisciplinary and Europeanisation studies and assists them in incorporating EU studies into their works.
Jean Monnet Module contributes to the development of EU interdisciplinary studies in Ukraine by the following means:
- It encourages Ukrainian researchers to engage into interdisciplinary debates and to apply contemporary methodology of EU interdisciplinary studies in their works;
- it offers a distance learning course on EU interdisciplinary and Europeanisation studies in contemporary teaching and research for lecturers of EU studies and their students from all Ukrainian universities;
- it equips young generation of Ukrainian academics with knowledge and skills of contemporary methodology of EU interdisciplinary studies;
- it gives better understanding of the Europeanisation process of political, economic and legal systems in Ukraine in the course of implementation of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement;
it helps Ukrainian academics of how to publish and promote own research worldwide.
