Dr. Marek Lenč

Visiting Research Fellow Dr. Marek Lenč works as an assistant lecturer at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Department of IR and Diplomacy at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. During his doctoral studies on German foreign policy completed research stays at the universities and institutes in Jena and Berlin (Germany). Conducted post-doctoral research at Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence in European Studies at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine) and was awarded 2015 research visiting fellowships at University of Vienna (Austria). He is co-author of the first comprehensive analysis of post-unification German foreign policy in Slovakia, active in contributing to recognized international journals as well as political commentator for leading Slovak newspapers Denník N. His main teaching and research interests include German foreign policy, Eastern partnership and Slovak political and economic transformation experience.
