EU External Relations. Law & Politics

Structure of the course: 
  • EU as a Global Actor. Foundations of the EU external competences and its policies towards third countries;
  • Part 1. EU external competencies (explicit, mixed, implied);
  • Part 2. EU policies towards third countries (association, partnership nd development agreements);
  • Part 3. European Neighbourhood Policy and the EU – Ukraine relations competencies.
Impact: 
The purpose of the course is to acquire Master level students with legal foundations of the EU external competence and its policies towards the rest of the world. Particular emphasis will be paid to the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership. It is expected that students could apply their knowledge at academic institutions, governmental offices and international organisations.
