EU Common Security and Defence Policy: International and European Dimensions

One semester postgraduate course on substantive issues of European Union (EU) External Relations Law with emphasis on the EU Common Security and Defence Policy. The course focuses on the EU policies towards third countries and their association relations with the EU. Students are expected to possess a basic knowledge on institutional and constitutional fundamentals of the EU. Participants of the course investigate the political and legal rationale behind EU external policies.

EU External Relations Law: Security and Defence Dimension

One semester postgraduate course on the EU Common Security and Defence Policy. Students are expected to possess a basic knowledge on institutional and constitutional fundamentals of the EU. Participants of the course will investigate the political and legal rationale behind EU external policies. The first part of the course deals with history of the EU external policies. The second part of the course focuses on the legal fundamentals of the EU Common Security and Defence Policy.

EU Law: Security and Defence Dimension

This is advanced undergraduate course for the law programme. The purpose of the course is to study the functioning of the European Union (EU) and prospects of Ukraine integration into the EU. The course of the course pays special attention to the EU policy in the field of defence and security, the participation of Ukraine in the formation of a security environment in the EU, legal and other aspects of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine and Ukraine's implementation of European standards and EU common values and legal principles.
